Founded by award winning designer Andrew Simpson (Vert Design Studio) and saxophonist Dr. Wally Wallace (The Saxophone Academy), Hyperion was created to design high performance tools for the modern virtuoso. Sharing a love of mid-century design and space age optimism, Andrew and Wally sought to develop saxophone products that encouraged the art of practice, while enhancing the natural beauty of the instrument. Seeking “honesty in design,” Andrew’s philosophy has led to a motif running throughout the brand: design that pairs classic aesthetics with tactile elegance. “Great design,” says Andrew, “invites us to engage in aspirational behaviours, lending dignity to our practice.”
