The Hyperion Mouthpiece
The Hyperion Mouthpiece has the heart (literally) of the iconic mid-century jazz sound. Micro CT scanning recreates the exact resonant core a 1950s Brilhart, sculpted into an stylish updated form. Sculpted from biocompatible resin, the Hyperion mouthpiece sings and rings with a resonant balance of the harmonic spectrum: Deep lows, clear mids, and warm upper colors. Each mouthpiece is hand faced to GS mouthpieces’ exact specification, ensuring a responsive, singing tone. The white performance resin is not exudes classic beauty, but is more durable than traditional hard rubber.

Power and resonance without loosing it’s cool. The tall chamber design packs a punch while still projecting a full color palate. The Hyperion GS easily soars over a jazz combo, fills the concert hall, or drives the lead chair of your big band with a warm, classic tone.
Highly Durable Bio-Compatible Resin.
Beautiful yet durable, the GS resin creates the vibrance of mid-century tonalin without the fragility. Unlike traditional hard rubber, the bio-compatible resin will not oxidize, fade, or leech sulfur. It’s safe, rugged, and resonates like the classic ebolin and tonalin mid-century Brilharts.

While keeping the internal core true to its inspiration, the tip rails have been redefined and perfected for modern reeds. Coupled with fastidious hand facing, the result is a mouthpiece that makes more reeds sing right out of the box. Paired with the bespoke Hyperion Ligature, we’ve been blown away (pun intended) by the incredible airtight seal achieved. Reeds are more responsive, playing is more satisfying.
